1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Simple Solar ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Simple Solar is a mobile application that allows users to monitor and manage their solar inverter systems. The App connects to third-party inverter APIs to retrieve and display energy data, and optionally provides automation features through a paid subscription. Important: Simple Solar is an unofficial interface to the SunSynk backend API. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to SunSynk. The App relies on third-party APIs that may change without notice, which could cause the App to stop working partially or entirely at any time. While we will make reasonable efforts to maintain compatibility, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.
3. Account and Credentials
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your inverter account credentials. The App stores these credentials securely on your device to connect to your inverter system. You agree not to share your credentials with others or use the App to access systems you do not own or have permission to access.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
Simple Solar offers optional paid subscriptions ("Simple Solar Pro") that unlock additional features. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) and automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your device's account settings. Prices are subject to change, but any price changes will not affect active subscription periods.
5. Refunds
Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies. We do not have direct access to process refunds.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: - Use the App for any unlawful purpose - Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any systems - Interfere with or disrupt the App or servers - Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code - Use the App to harm or exploit others
7. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with third-party inverter APIs and services. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or functionality of these third-party services. Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and conditions.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Energy data displayed in the App is retrieved from third-party systems and may not always be accurate or up-to-date. Do not rely solely on the App for critical energy management decisions.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the App.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
